Knit Talk

Ashley was very sick the earlier part of last week, On our way Home Tuesday night from Visiting Greg in Norman, Ashley got sick. I kept her home on Wednesday, She threw up once and I went ahead and let her go with her Dad for his visit. By Thursday morning she was much worse and she had a high temp. So when Jake got home from work we took her to the ER, her temp was 104.3 Turns out she had strep throat. Poor girl, So antibiotics and a few days later she is feeling 100% and back to school. Thank goodness. As a Mother, That is one of those worse feelings in the world.. a sick child. The Worry.

Nothing much else to report really, I'm getting cabin fever really bad, With Ashley being sick I haven't been anywhere and we're low on Money from the birthday purchases so I have to stay away from places where I might spend money. LOL!! So that leaves me at home all day, every day for this week. Well, until Thursday (payday)

The good news is, I've been doing a bit of knitting, Which I have been really grateful for since being stuck in the house with no other choice this past week, It really was a highlight in the monotony. So here is what I've done... finished 3 things!!

This adorable sweater for Abbey. I bought the pattern from The Gourmet Yarn Co. in Oklahoma City, OK It's called Sugar 'N Spice and it was designed by Minnow Knits.

Yes, Another dishcloth from my Nifty Knit Dishcloths pattern book, It's Called "Ridged Furrows"

.. This one was a must try pattern from a new friend of mine, You can visit Melanie's blog to find the pattern and her picture of the pattern. Thank you so much for the pattern Melanie!! I Love it, It was fun and quick to knit up as well! Also, I was excited to discover that it also fits nicely over my 12oz. DDr Pepper bottles! Woohoo!!

Okay that's all for today, Have a hungry baby calling me....

Oh yuck...strep throat...I'm so glad Ashely is feeling better now. I love the cute little sweater...so girly. And the can cozy...love it...(wink) It looks pretty in the pink variegated...thanks for the "plug" and for posting pictures. I like yours better...just used some scraps for mine. I might just have to make me another, more girly version.
Big Hugs!
